How do I ingest the 6000 music files on my NAS server?

Hi, I am new to VOX. I'm looking for a music player that can make it a pleasure to leaf through my large collection of well-tagged classical music and opera files on my network attached storage (NAS) server.

It's not clear to me how I should ingest my music files into VOX, so that VOX can present them well.

My music files are on a file server. They are mostly FLAC format. They are not part of my iTunes Library, because iTunes doesn't want to acknowledge FLAC format. I do not want to use the Loop service.

My first thought was to go to the Playlist tab, and click the "Add files to Playlist" feature. VOX ingested the music files, and lets me scroll through a list of all 6000 "tracks". But there is only one album art picture, at the top of the list. It appears that VOX has persuaded itself that this is one 6000-track "album". I can't easily see the artwork, or the tracklist, for an album starting from a track entry in the Playlist tab.

My second thought was to try the Collections tab. There was an option there to connect to my iTunes library. I did that. Now, the iTunes library has a fraction of the overall collection, as MP3 files transcoded from the FLAC reference on the NAS. What this got me was entries that roughly corresponded to my iTunes playlists. One of these was "Classical music", 79 tracks. Another was "All local files", which I used to trick iTunes into working with the MP3 files and disregard the NAS files.

My third thought was to return to the Playlist tab, and press the button labelled with a right-arrow which says "Save Playlist as a New Collection". This gave me an entry under the Collections tab, "Master tagged files", which has the same 6000+ entries as the playlist. Again, VOX appears to regard this collection as a single album with 6000 tracks.

Is there a way to ingest my well-tagged FLAC files from my NAS server into VOX, such that VOX will recognise the album groupings, and give me an effective way to browse the collection?

Hi Jim,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
VOX doesn't create any local library, only cloud. It's mainly Winamp-like player (if you know what it is), with the ability to store files in our cool unlimited music cloud - LOOP.

https://vox.rocks/loop-music-cloud-storage

You can sign up and use 3 days of trial to check it out. After uploading, Your files will be with you anywhere. On you Mac and IOS. You can stream them losslessly.

P.S. VOX Collections are almost the same as a regular playlist, but You can add to them music from many different sources. Local tracks, SoundCloud, Spotify, LOOP cloud, Radio... And all this together in one collection. It extends the idea of a regular playlist.
