Vox showing notifications despite being disabled in Preferences

I deleted (not simply replaced) the version from Vox by an older one on the
Mac Appstore (v.2.6.5). No more notifications.

Hey Guys.
You can download new version of Vox from our website.We disabled those notifications.
Also be aware that if You have purchased radio in MAS version of VOX - it will NOT work in website version.

I liked Vox, but it keeps spamming my Chrome with an army of new tabs and pop-ups, making it impossible to work on any other application. I saw no solution but to uninstall it. Maybe I'll return to Cog, or something.
