Vox playing DSD audio flawlessy

#1

I'm using VOX to play SACD DSD dsf file extension files and it sounds great!

However, there's no mention of supporting DSD in the VOX's Coopertino web site and VOX don't add dsf file extension to finder's list of supported formats.
Is DSD audio under unsupported development?
Why Vox plays DSD files at 88200khz sampling rate?
Is there a way to bypass audio to USB if I hook up an external USB DSD decoder?

Zeh, You are right, VOX can play DSD files, but this is experimental feature. VOX does this by converting DSD to PCM, so not the "native" DSD way currently. However, this allows to play DSD files on any output devices, not just DSD-compliant ones. We are thinking of the ability to ass native DSD support, which would allow to gain the maximum of DSD quality.

Why Vox plays DSD files at 88200khz sampling rate? - exactly because the conversion to PCM takes place, and PCM is output at 88200Hz.
