Vox keeps forgetting my preferred selected output

#1

First off thanks for developing vox. Really good music player.

So I have a macbookpro connected to a large monitor via hdmi. I want to play music over hdmi. I can configure this and it works great. I use skype and have a usb headset. There is some fundamental problem with mac and usb headsets, that mean after a few hours, the usb mic/headset become garbled. The only solution is to unplug the headset. When I do this, vox updates the list of outputs, and selects the system output. This cancels my hdmi output selection.

Do you have any suggestions as to how to fix this? Is it possible that you could update VOX to remember the selected output when the list of outputs updates and keep that selected if still present?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Could you clarify what do you mean by "Garbled" ?

The sound corrupts or it loses the connection ?

Waiting for your reply.

Hi Vox support staff,

The voice sounds like a robot - both my voice and that of the person I am chatting to. This link to the Apple support site sums it up for me - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2166616.

I guess my take away is that for anyone using vox, when they choose an output, then a change happens to their system, the chosen output setting will be forgotten. If you could code a fix for that, then the problem goes away.

Please let me know if you need any help to recreate the issue

Thanks

Chris

Vox support staff,

Did my last post make sense? Do you need anything else from me?

Thanks
