Unable to sign in to Loop under Mojave

#1

I cannot sign in to Loop for my desktop Vox app since I upgraded to Mac OS 10.14 Mojave.

Every time I try to sign in, it opens my browser, accepts my login, or asks me to authorize if I’m already logged in, then a pop-up appears and asks me - Do you want to allow this page to open “Loop”? I click Allow, and it just goes back to the desktop Vox player app and shows me as not signed in.

This behaviour repeats, if I try it from the Loop icon in the menu bar, or if I click on Sign In at the top corner of the desktop pane.

I can access and play music that I have already uploaded, I can also upload new music through the website. But not through the local desktop app.

Hi,

Please try to do following:

Close VOX and Open terminal

Paste commands:

1)launchctl remove com.coppertino.VOXCloud
Press enter.

2)/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
Press enter.

Start VOX and check Sign in function.

Please tell me if the problem is gone?

Hi,

I’ve tried this, but it has made no difference.

After I restart VOX and sign in, I get exactly the same screens as previously, and the application and Loop menu have not changed, and are still offering me a sign in prompt.

Also as before the icons (apart from Playlist) all show a padlock and prompt me to create an account.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

What is your current version of VOX app?

Can you make some screenshots of those screens?

exactly the same screens as previously,

Which browser do you have set as a default browser?

When you click on sign in button, what happens next?

Thanks for this, in fact I seem to have resolved this, I think basically by restarting the Mac!

Seems pretty simple, but as a rule I don’t normally restart my Mac more than once or twice a week.

FYI I had previously been having the problems trying with Vox version 3.3.4 (Build 3340.1) and my default browser is Safari v12.0 (14606.1.36.1.9) which is the same setup I’m now running successfully since the restart.
