Stop scanning?

#1

Hi, I wrongly triggered an upload with a double click. I now want to prevent Vox from searching an entire hard drive for hours and uploading music that has already been uploaded. How can I stop scanning?

I really would appreciate help…it’s still scanning. Even deleting the app and reinstalling didn’t make it to stop. Would upload also the same files again?

Hi Tom,

What VOX + OS versions are you referring to?
Please advise if you use Watch folders feature to upload your music to VOX Cloud?

#4

Hi
I run VOX Version 3.3.17 an OS 10.12.6.

It‘s hard to not be able or rather be willing to start vox because it‘s still scanning!!! Help!!!
And no, not using a watching folder.

Thanks for your post!

Please try to use the following Terminal commands to clear an upload queue and stop scanning process without starting the VOX app!

Open Terminal, paste the commends one by one:

launchctl remove com.coppertino.VOXCloud

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

this one may take some time to be executed, please take a while.

rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.coppertino.VOXCloud/

killall -SIGTERM cfprefsd

Start VOX app, go to Preferences… > Account > Sign out, and Sign in with your VOX account.

Tell us how it goes!
