Still missing artwork on Loop on iPhone

iTunes automatically downloads missing artworks, so probably there is no artwork there..

You can try to use an app kid3 to add the artwork to the album

Update: I've downloaded Kid3 and used it for another issue successfully (albums tagged as various artists in Loop when they are not various artists).

Then I started using Kid3 to check the albums that were missing artwork in Loop on my iPhone (all of my albums have artwork in Loop on the Mac). When I used Kid3, they did not have artwork so I would drag the artwork into Kid3, delete the album from Loop on the Mac, and then upload it again. This seemed to work for many albums. I started alphabetically and got to the letter "D". Now, whatever I do, I can't get them to upload with artwork showing on the iPhone, they do still show on the Mac. The artwork is definitely there in metadata in Kid3.

Hm, weird. We'll try to investigate what might be the reason for this.

And this morning for some reason, now a bunch more of my albums that were showing artwork yesterday on the iPhone are now missing artwork.

Please try to open such albums and scroll down and up on the track list.

After that it may appear. We also investigate what seems to cause this problem.

I've noticed something this morning. I'm going through my library and cleaning up a lot of the metadata with Kid3. What I've noticed is that when I do that and delete the album in loop and then upload it again with the cleaned metadata that artwork then doesn't show on the iPhone. Any new upload does not show artwork on the iPhone. So something changed. It shows on the Mac, although I have one album (Adele 25) that shows something different on the Mac than what I put in Kid3.

Yes, all of the albums that I clean the metadata in Kid3 are now missing album artwork. Some of these had album artwork showing in Loop on the iPhone and when I cleaned the metadata, there was no artwork in Kid3 so I added it and now it is missing on the iPhone. But they all are showing artwork on the Mac.

And then there were a ton of albums that were missing artwork even before I started cleaning up stuff with Kid3 but maybe that was because there wasn't anything in the metadata before.

Sure, here are a couple of albums that had album artwork showing on the iPhone and then I cleaned up the metadata with Kid3 and re-uploaded and now the album artwork is missing:

Adele, 25
Aimee Mann, Charmer
Arcadia, So Red the Rose

And here are some albums that are missing artwork on the iPhone but I have not checked the metadata and re-uploaded so I am not sure if they have cover art in Kid3 or not but some of the ones that I did re-upload already had cover art in Kid3 and now they do not in Loop:

Keane, Strangleland (Deluxe Edition)
Neil Young, Harvest

Is there a way to delete EVERYTHING I have stored on Loop and then initiate a new upload of my iTunes library? I'm going through all of the meta data and cover art and would like to do a new upload when I'm done.

Sure, you can just do CMD+A and hit Delete.

But we would suggest you to add music not from iTunes directly but from folders where it is stored.

OK, thank you. I have deleted all the music in Loop. I do not see anything now in Loop on my Mac. However, if I click on the Loop menu icon, it says:
Up To Date / 118 Tracks

How do I get rid of those 118 tracks? Can you clear it out before I reupload my library?

These are only leftovers from your library like m3u files, don't pay attention to them.

This counter will be fixed in the future updates.

Hmm, well on my Mac if I click on the Loop icon in my menu bar it states:
Up to Date / 118 Tracks

And on my Mac, if I open Vox, it shows nothing in Loop.

But on my iPhone, if I open the Loop app, I see 8 albums and I only have Loop on, no other services. iTunes is not on for music in library. If I add up the songs in those albums it is 116.
