Playing music

#1

I seem to run into trouble playing songs I have loaded into Vox. I hit play and it goes down my playlist with the music bars at the first of each song only for a second and moves onto the next song. The titles are not solid white text they are kinda greyed out. I've played all of my playlist at certain times and didn't seem to have a problem. Now only a couple of collections are available. Do I need to keep the original downloads somewhere else on the computer for these collections to work? I have trashed a number of my original downloads after loading them into Vox. Thanks!

Hi Allan,

Could you tell us what exactly happens when you're trying to play them? And from where you've added these tracks?

Also try to reset VOX with the following script:

Please let me know if it helps!

Allan, please describe the way You loaded tracks into Vox. Because what You describe looks like files are missing.

Genial app, pero: ¿porque algunas canciones de mi playlist no se escuchan completamente y otras si? Intente con los preferencias y no lo puedo solucionar. Me podrian ayudar.

Hello, I just dragged and dropped audio files into New Collection on Vox.

Thanks for any help. Allan

Hello, I did the reset and it seems I’ve lost all of my music files. When I did try to play them it just went down the list without any playback except one recent new collection. I’ve been downloading albums and dragging and dropping into New Collection.

Thanks for any help. Allan

Allan, when You are adding files to Vox, You should keep files, not delete them. Otherwise Vox cannot access files to play.

#8

thanks, that’s the key. I had no idea. When I load into iTunes I don’t need to keep original files.

#9

That's because iTunes copies all files, Vox is a player of another kind. It plays Your music from wherever it's located.

I'm having the same problem with files in loop added via a loop watched folder. it occurs randomly but seemingly is only fixed by a system reboot. I'm running os x 10.11 GM
