Not all files present on iPhone are shown in library - when I add more music previously added songs/albums disappear

I've got strange issue. I'm adding music directly to VOX app folder (through iTunes) - FLAC files in root and mp3 albums in other folders (one album - one folder). Individual FLACs are shown correctly (only problem is when I have one .jpg file in root - all albums are thumbnailed with it). Problems begin when I for example have 10 albums and then drag another few folders - Library view refreshes and some of old ones are gone. When I delete one of newly added folders - few of them may come back.

I tried killing app, clearing cache - it doesn't seem to work. Do you have any idea what may be wrong? This issue is quite annoying, I've thought that I'll just grab my music to VOX folder and it will work straight away - now I can't listen to music I have on my iPhone.

Hi Chris,

Please try to perform the following steps on Mac OS X VOX:

  • Close Loop by selecting Quit from Status Icon
  • Remove Folder ~/Library/Containers/com.coppertino.VOXCloud
  • Run command in Terminal.app: killall cfprefsd
  • Open Loop
  • Login And Wait for your iOS Library being available

Hi !

I have exactly the same problem but on mu iPhone. I can't see more than 17 albums in FLAC. But, I don't use iTunes to drag and drop. It is iExplorer on my iMac, but it is the same.
I've started a lot of time but it is always the same ; no more than 17 albums.
Do you know why?
What can I do?

Hi Philippe,

You've used Loop to transfer them, right?

Have you tried to perform the steps above ?

Please let us know!

Hi !

No, I didn’t used Loop because I don’t have a subscription. I used iExplorer which is a free program and which allows you, like iTunes, to transfer the files you want to Vox on your iPhone. I don’t use Vox on my iMac.
Once I had 18 albums but if I transfer one more, 2 of the albums already seen on my iPhone disappear for the new one. So, even if there is 19 albums, I can see only 17 then.
And, when I use the view of the Artists and not the one of the Albums, and if I delete all the Albums through iExplorer, I can see yet the Artists but without the Albums. Vox seems to keep in mind some information.

Can you try by yourself?

Let me know!

For your information, I wanted this works before I go to holidays tomorrow because I’ll be abroad without connection.

Thanks!

Could you try to transfer these songs over iTunes -> your iPhone -> Apps -> Files Sharing -> VOX? Since we cannot guarantee where exactly iExplorer places music files.

Thanks! Please let us know if it works.

Hi!

I’ll try when I’ll be back from my holidays in 2 weeks because I’ve to go now.

Thanks!

I have the exact same problem as it was described above (i uploaded my flac iles through itunes - file sharing - vox). Is there a solution?

TY

#9

Could you provide us with the samples of the files which did not appear?

That would help us in fixing this issue.

#10

All my music is made of flac files. I believe it is not necessary a sample fileat because: on the pc, in the itunes - file sharing - vox list i can see all the music i uploaded, BUT, on my iphone, i can see a limited number of albums. If i delete some of the albums i can see on the iphone list, the unseen music is updated and listed. So, under thses circumstances, is there any fix?

Ty in advance

We were able to understand what causes this issue and we're working on a fix right now.

Thanks for your understanding on this matter.

Just wanted to add that I am having the same issue. When adding albums using iTunes -> your iPhone -> Apps -> Files Sharing -> VOX not every song is there for almost every album.
