Newbie! Question on shuffling

I have been dissatisfied with Apple Music as well as Spotify for a while now because of their limitation on shuffling capabilities.
The shuffling is never truly random, which has prompted me to make hundreds of playlists which is truly frustrating. Since VOX claims to store it all in the cloud, is the shuffle played truly random or is it simply a mock up of the original app?

Our shuffle is max. random! We even implemented a couple of standalone logics and we shuffle those different “ways to shuffle” too.
