More structure - folders for added albums, view by genre,

#1

My Music library is about 650 albums and 8200 tracks long and at the moment I am adding all of them to loop (takes time, but works - although I had problems with watched folders, but manual uploads work.

Now my problem:

It becomes problematic on iOS to find a particular album or all albums of a genre, file type, ... So my suggestion:

Would it be possible to add a more advanced filtering mechanism so that I can filter by genre, file type, artist,... and only see these albums, i.e. something similar to smart playlist, only that I can see the albums and not the flat tracks (one could call them "smart Collections")?
I can use Collections for the manual sorting, but the flat view is very inconvenient to use when thinking in "Albums".

By the way - I am not using iTunes as nearly all my music is in flac format.

Thanks a lot for a great product and I am looking forward to improvements in regards to smart Collections - different views of Collections,

Rainer

Hi Rainer,

You can do this as well under the Preferences in the Library view, also we will release an Artist view within the next update.

Please feel free to write us back if any questions arise.

Yes - I have seen this, but it is only a sorting, and not filtering and the separation between Artists is not visible for me in the View.

The Artist view is definitely a step in the right direction, but it is really the filtering which would help a lot - and finally the "smart Collections" in which the tracks are not flat but viewable by Album.

Thanks,

Rainer
