Loop taskbar app ... new feature request ...Upload Rate Bandwidth

#1

Hi

The "Loop" program in my Mac's taskbar is hogging my internet upload bandwidth.

This is now slowing down my other cloud sync services such as Dropbox and Amazon S3 data storage. It is also slowing down my browser on my Mac , plus affecting things like even Netflix on my Apple TV. Rendering them nearly unusable.

Programs like Dropbox have a setting for "Network Bandwidth" where you can limit both the Upload and Download rates. Other Apps for cloud sync (like Arq) have similar features.

I believe if this feature was available ... I could limit the Network Upload rate for Loop ... then my other internet services would not be affected.

Another issue with the Loop taskbar app ... I do not believe the "pause" option actually works.

I "pause" Loop and it appears that Loop is still operating (my Macbooks Network Monitor indicated that Network Upload traffic is still occurring ... plus Apple's "Activity Monitor" still has Loop using 30 to 70 % of CPU activity ... and that is 1 hour after "pausing" Loop).

I will perservere with Loop for another few days ... since I have already paid for a 1 year subscription ... then give up.

It is a new service so I kind of expected some kind of teething problems ... though at the moment I feel that I am part of a BETA testing program and one that is at the very early stages ... not a commercial deployment.

As an aside ... another problem I noticed is that free memory on my Macbook is just being eaten up very quickly since I installed Loop. I have 16 GB RAM so I do not normally have any memory problems until I got Loop installed. My free memory just goes down to zero after a while. I am not sure what this problem is , maybe a memory leak ? It is like the uploaded files are first being uploaded into RAM before Loop transmits them over WiFi.

Vox Developers ...

Thank You for acknowledging these issues, I sincerely appreciate it.

Though I am getting a bit frustrated with several issues including this one ... I really want Loop for Vox to be a great success. No other company (even Apple) is offering a cloud music service, which not only integrates with iDevices ... but does not downgrade your music to MP3 quality (like Apple does with iTunes Match).

So take this as a note of appreciation for developing something unique and valuable, which I believe "Loop for Vox" can be.
