I’m having consistent problems streaming Hi-Res files (24.96) on my iOS device (12.1.1) with latest client, constantly stops playing while the stream tries to keep up. Running on Verizon 100MB FIOS WiFi. I can stream same songs on MacOS perfectly on the same network (at the same time or subsequently) so it is clearly an iOS problem. I have cleared the cache and that didn’t help at all. What’s the deal?

Did you try to re-connect your iOS device to the Wi-Fi network you use? Did you try to re-install the VOX app?
