Does Vox play DSD files?

#1

In order to understand whether or not DSD files are worth it I have some Blue Coast Records in various formats. I have named the files appropriately so I can tell them apart:

Keith Greeninger, Chris Kee & Brain - Jimmy And The Crows - 2.8MHz-DSF.dsf
Keith Greeninger, Chris Kee & Brain - Jimmy And The Crows - 5.6MHz-DSF.dsf
Keith Greeninger, Chris Kee & Brain - Jimmy And The Crows - 96kHz-FLAC.flac
Keith Greeninger, Chris Kee & Brain - Jimmy And The Crows - 96kHz-WAV.wav
Keith Greeninger, Chris Kee & Brain - Jimmy And The Crows - 320kbps-MP3.mp3

When I load my library into Vox the only two files which show up are the .flac and .wav files.

Another annoyance is that the player 2.4.1 (on my Mac Pro 10.9.5) only shows part of the filename so I can't tell which version is actually playing. I had to do a "show in finder" in order to figure out exactly which file was playing.

VOX does play DSD files and they should be seen in playlist/collection once dropped /opened in VOX. Currently VOX plays DSD by converting to PCM, so there's no native support for DSD devices yet (and no DoP currently).
