Jens, I must say I have no clue what's happening... It is somehow related to system resources Vox uses, which other audio apps don't use. Which music apps You say are working fine do emerge from Mac Appstore and not from Apple?

thanks for you patience. Same problem with the new version. I
made a
screen video with microphone as audio. I took a random track and
played
it with iTunes, VLC and VOX. The latter didn't work as you can
see.
Maybe you get a clue when you see what's happening. You will find

I'm off for business most of the time now, using my Macbook
where VOX
runs perfectly. Maybe someday the problem will solve itself with an
iOS

I am sure You have everything ok in Audio Midi Setup -> Your current output device (in Vox) -> try to switch sample rate and sample format (bits) back and forth, also try to change the output volume from there... I don't know what else to suggest... Sorry...
