Airplay vs bluetooth 4.0 APTx

Good day,

I am a new owner of a beoplay A6 and I am now trying to search ways to stream hi res audi to my beoplay. (I mainly use Flac files purchased and I upload them to Loop)

I am a proud user of VOX and wanted to know if anyone knows what I should choose from airplay from my iphone to my beoplay or using my imac to stream bluetooth APTx(or SDC).

I see conflicting information when comparing streaming quality of airplay and bluetooth. Will my sound be modified using one or the other...I also read that other apps like audirvana seem to better process Flac files

Thank You for Your question.
Regarding preferred wireless transport (Airplay vs Bluetooth): From quality point of view, I think Airplay is better than Bluetooth because on OS X VOX uses losseless ALAC codec to stream audio to airplay, while Bluetooth generally uses old lossy codec to compress audio because of low speed.

Regarding one app processing flacs better that other - pretty much a myth, given they use the same codec library.
