Airplay Airport Express very low output volume

When I try streaming music from Vox to Airport Express I have to crank up the volume on my stereo to here anything. When I do the same from iTunes or iPhone the volume is correct.

I have iMac 24" - 2007 with Yosemite. AirPort Express 802.11n (1st Generation) with 7.6.4

Wojtek, thanks for note.

Please open Audio MIDI Setup app, Audio Window, select AirPlay device and make sure the volume slider is not at the minimum.

Please report Your results. I would like to know if it works for You.
