Playback to USB DAC is not resumed after it been disconnected

Hi, I have started to use VOX with my new MacBook Pro at work today. I connect USB DAC through Apple's multiport adapter and every time I disconnect Mac from adapter (happens million times per day) VOX starts playing on Mac Speacers and continues to do so even if I connect USB back.
Is there any way to set VOX to work ONLY with one type of export even if it is disconnected? Or stop playback if it is disconnected like you do with headphones?
